Early Access. Commands and behavior can change between releases.

Before you start

  • macOS or Linux, on Apple Silicon/arm64 or Intel/x64.
  • A terminal with bash, curl and a SHA-256 tool (shasum or sha256sum).
  • An email address that the Architech download service accepts.
  • Access to a model provider.

Download and inspect the installer

The installer asks for your email and saves it only once it’s accepted. You don’t need access to any GitHub repository to download the binary. Working on your own repositories needs your own GitHub access, as usual. The installer checks the download’s checksum and prints where it installed the command. It doesn’t change your PATH or shell profile. If that directory isn’t on your PATH, use the full path it prints or add the directory yourself.

Verify the install

Open your project

In the session, run /login to sign in to a model provider and /model to pick a model. Then type /onboard to set up the project. These are session commands, not shell commands.
To install a specific release, pass its version or tag: bash architech-install.sh --version <version>. To remove Architech: bash architech-install.sh uninstall.

Update

--check prints the installed version and whether it’s current (for example, architech 0.1.24 is up to date). If the installer refuses your saved email, run it again in a terminal. To forget the saved email and enter a new one, run bash architech-install.sh --reset.

Next: onboard your project

Set up local context, rules and an optional project board.
